As a microblading artist fixing eyebrows can be a challenge as you are working with a slanted canvas. You need to reshape both eyebrows sometimes, or sometimes one eyebrow needs to be completely redone as it to fare apart from its symmetrical counterpart. You are a professional beauty expert. Things can go wrong. What happens when you need to use your microblading insurance policy because your work creates uneven eyebrows? During a regular client consultation, a new client comes in with what seems to be natural eyebrows, which could benefit from a microblading treatment. The desire for natural-looking eyebrows that are semi-permanent has drawn your potential client to your treatment room. After the consultation, you schedule the appointment. Of course, you review your microblading insurance policy and pre-care procedures. Your new client has never had any artistic work before other than the standard manicures and pedicures. They are excited about their first, more advanced treatment. The day of the treatment arrives, you just reviewed your microblading insurance policy with your beauty insurance broker. You are confident in the level of protection you enjoy. The client has swapped fear for enthusiasm. You do notice the client asks a lot of questions eroding your treatment time. Questions and concerns addressed in the consultation. You start to question whether you should cancel the appointment. After a few moments, you convince the client to lie down on the treatment table to begin. You map out both eyebrows and re-affirm your previous notion that this would be a regular job of enhancing her already naturally looking brow. The client agrees to your stencils. Your work matches the expectations. Now is the time to begin with the blade, as you tell your client to relax you gently do the first stroke. Panic appears in the client’s eyes. They are uncomfortable with the feeling. As you explain, it was just a sample, and the following strokes will have more pressure. Breathing rapidly, they ask for a few moments to collect themselves. As you already are now behind, you begrudgingly agree. Recomposed, the client lies back down, exhales, and clenches their fists and tells you to begin. The next dozen strokes go smoothly, and you find your rhythm, and the client seems to be going along until you get close to the bridge of her nose. As the client sees the blade for the first time and the proximity it is to the eye, they screech for you to stop! You swiftly pull back, and with as much speed, your client sits up quickly, with only one eyebrow done. Deep and dark with raw pigment, the juxtaposition is shocking! The client refuses to continue with the other eyebrow. You show the results this far. The hysteria starts. They blame you for ruining their face. Emphatically stating a lawyer will be contacted to file a massive lawsuit. In hysteria, saying it is your fault because you were doing the microblading wrong. “How dare you put a blade that close to the eyes.” The client gets up, storms out, and says, "I hope you have microblading insurance."Thank goodness you have an experience Beauty Insurance Expert.
